our mission.

Do you feel like you’re doing enough? Do you feel empowered? Will your children be proud of the actions you’ve taken to protect their future?

For many of us the answer to this is no.
We are overwhelmed by a problem too big, by too much information, and by our extremely busy lives.

At onexeveryone we have realized that a solid first step in changing these things is to experience how it is to work together with many others to take action.

Here's the plan:
•
We will all donate $2/month
• Our pooled funds will support a different organization working toward a balance within the climate emergency each month and empowering them to do their work better.
• Right now if and when we allow ourselves to grasp the enormity if this problem it can paralyze us with fear and powerlessness. We at onexeveryone know this feeling because we have been experiencing this as well.

Our goal is to help us all open our eyes to the problem and take one step at a time toward a solution. This solution starts with learning how to be empowered together.

Isolation does not breed mobilization.
To change the outcome of this we will need to mobilize. But it’s a huge leap from what our society has become. If we really grasp what is happening we know it will take drastic measures to resolve it.

What does this mean?
It means that to take the actions necessary we will have to trust each other, rely on each other and care about each other in radically different ways than we do now as a society. And if that seems weird or scary to you, you are not alone.
But, you are part of the solution. This is the biggest problem humans have EVER faced. It will impact each and every one of us. We are already too late to totally fix it but everything we do from now on can make it better or worse for our children.

WE are the ones who need to do something right now. There’s not enough time to wait for the children to fix it, plus leaving it for them without doing everything in our power to help is inappropriate.
Let’s start here.

Why is this different?

  • We all give together to affect greater change than we can individually. We have become accustomed to not acting collectively. To move into a healthier future we will all benefit from this experience and learning that working together is not only possible but can produce incredible outcomes. Plus - taking action that feels bigger than ourselves serves to inspire the smaller and more personal actions we can take each day.
  • This issue encompasses all other issues we face - from any sort of violence, resource shortages, mass forced migration, health issues from poor air quality, ruined oceans, inequality, extreme weather, fires, economic stability, and so much more. It makes so much sense to radically support those who are already set up to help.
  • We will show our children and grandchildren that we are ready to do everything we can. After speaking to many people we at onexeveryone understand that most of us would like to do more and know that what we are able to do in our individual lives, while crucial, is not enough.
Most of us have adopted a state of complacency.
It's not that we don't care, it's that most of us don't know what to do given the gravity of the situation. This is a movement to offer empowerment, the chance to work together and actually help in big ways and to show our children that we really can create change for them and their children.

So what do we do?
If we don't feel empowered with a solution then we aren't truly able to face the problem. There is no point in asking us all to open our eyes and look at this dire emergency only to cause fear and hopelessness.

We at onexeveryone believe if we start to work together in a way that is easy, empowering, and includes everyone, it will then become easier to do what comes next, and next after that, until the solutions are not only clear, but attainable.

To change our perception of the possibilities cannot happen overnight - even if it is the most important thing we ever do. This is the first step.

Strike the word alarmist from your vocabulary and be alarmed.
